Today it seems like everyone wants to belong to something; a political party, a social movement, a club, or a religion. People are searching for connection and purpose. Belonging fills an emotional need that God placed in every human heart. But if we are going to belong to a group why not belong to a group that sees dignity in every person, reaches out to the forgotten, and brings hope to those who feel invisible? That is what the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is all about.

Not everyone starts out thinking of volunteering as a vocation. But many discover, over time, that it becomes one.
